Review: Beautiful Creatures and Safe Haven

Hello my lovely ladies! Hopefully I can do more regular posts this week, had such a depressive week last week and it was really hard for me to do anything.

So, I couldn't really decide what item to review today that you would find interesting and I;m getting the "Cinderella" of creams for easter so i'll review that when i've had a good use of it! So I decided to do another film review of some recent films!

So first is Beautiful Creatures and I've got to say I did loved it, I've just ordered the book (which I wish i'd have done first) It's very much my sort of film, It's a love story but which immortal creatures (well witches)! I loved the main characters and the deep southern accent of the main male role, who is super duper cute by the way! Anyone who enjoyed the Twilight Saga will definitely love this!

Next is Safe Haven.  I love Nicholas Sparks and The Notebook is one of my top five favorite films, so this was a must see for me!  I enjoyed this film anyone, it was very much a typical love story which I still enjoyed and then woah! The ending changed everything and was such a twist in the story, you will not be expecting it! Or if you do, you are a very clever person ;)

I enjoyed both films and really looking forward to the next Beautiful Creatures film!

Sorry this was quite brief!  FINALLY going to see Wreck it Ralph some time this week and maybe Mama if I'm not too afraid! ehe

See you soon!

27th February: OOTD

Hey lovelies!

Not been very good this week but I've really been feeling down but I thought I'd get back on it today and if I've got time i'll try and do my Wednesday wish list too!

SO this outfit I wore today was for a meeting a lady who I'm doing some Event Management work for and it's really exciting as I am going to be helping the Women of the Year event and the Birmingham Metropole Hotel, which is a stunning place, I was blown away.

But onto the outfit I wanted to wear something smart/casual and I ending up loving this outfit.

These pictures are really bad by the way, I just didn't know how else to take them!

So basically this is just a Topshop maxi skirt which I wear all the time and it was a steal for £18! And a simple black vest top which I also wear all the time.  Probably my two essentials!
Then I put this gorgeous leopard jacket over the top which is actually my mums aha! I'm obsessed with it, keep hoping she will give it me! I think she got it from TKMaxx a while ago but I don't recognize the brand but its sort of a thin linen jacket not a normal "denim" jacket
Then finally I added this ASOS belt which I got for Christmas, and its just a black leather belt with these gold crosses all around it. For shoes a wore some black ballet shoes which are covered in spike studs and finally for accessories I wore my rose gold Michael Kors watch and some little ankh cross earrings!

So yep, thats basically it!

See you all soon my darlings!

Wishlist #2

Hey my lovelies! Its Wednesday wishlist time!  I'm in love with this weeks and seriously want everything so bad! So lets crack on eh?

1. The first is this gorgeous ASOS dress which you have seen in my competition entry for marb b and ASOS.  I just love it so much, it's so my style its crazy! I love midi dresses, dip dye and a flowered pattern all in one dress! WHAT?! crazy.  What you can't really see either is that the top half still has the flowered pattern just faintly! It is so lush.

2.  Next is this absolutely amazing shirt from JW Anderson for Topshop.  I just think its absolutely beautiful! Its a denim material on the front but the back is black, only one word, love.

3. How freaking cute are these ASOS flats?! I think they are just adorable!

4. I'm a massive fan of skulls and above the knuckle rings, I myself have really wide fingers o most rings fit me as above the knuckle, good job thats in eh? But yeah these are some really cute ASOS ones in all different colours with skulls on, just yum!

5.  And finally I think Topshop nail varnishes are out of this world, I love how they come out the exact colour it tells you! So I think this one is just simply gorgeous and I may pick it up next time I'm in.

Hope you liked this one, I know I sure did! (sorry this was up a day late, I forgot to upload it!)

Bye for now lovelies!

My weekly favorite YouTuber!

So I am a massive fan of the beauty gurus on Youtube and some daily vlogs as well so I thought i'd do a weekly "segment" and talk about one i've really been enjoying that week because there's so many!  I did try and write this all in one post but it was starting to get so long and I'm sure you would probably get bored of reading it, so I'm going to do it weekly instead!

So the first person I absolutely love is Lexi from sototallyvlog, she is one of my all time favorites and everytime I see that she's uploaded a new video I get a little excited! She also has an amazing blog which you can find here!

So as you can see she is stunning! I'm obsessed with her videos, I think its because she always has a mix of high street and high end in her videos, and when I say high end I'm taking Chanel, YSL and Louis Vuitton just to name a few!  Her personal style is out of this world, she has such confidence in herself and with what she wears it, and she is very inspiring to me.  I love watching her videos that include the high end products because it makes me lust over things that one day I hope i'll be able to afford! I only wish I could know her personally! *Fan girling*

But honestly, she is fantastic and everyone who reads this, if you don't already, should go watch her videos!

She has everything from beauty, fashion, vlogs (which are great!) and even food videos, which always look so yummy!

I'll try and make this the last post of the day, i'm just rolling them out!

eTail PR, Marc B & ASOS Competition

So this is a wishlist I created which has been inspired by the Marc B, Cheryl Camel bag, I think this bag is absolutely lovely!  Especially the quilting which is very Chanel.  Also I love the handle on the bag because its perfect to fit on your shoulder for a laid back casual look, and finally the colour! I've got to say I don't really own many nude bags but after seeing this I think its about time I invested in one!  Also check out the rest of Marb b's bags here!

The clothing and accesories I chose to go with this are all ASOS brand and i've got to say if I had to pick one item that my style fit with perfectly it would be this dress! Its a midi, dip dyed and patterned dress! What could be better? I'm in love with this dress and I will be purchasing it ready for spring/summer!

1.ASOS Smock Dress In Floral Dip Dye

I also think the shoes are something else I will purchase, I love how you'd be able to put them with anything from skirts, dresses and jeans! I especially love the metallic silver and studding, they also do these in black with gold studs!

And as for accesories I am a lover of big statement earrings and I especially love these simple ones which i think go with the cool tones of the dress perfectly and as for the rings its a set of 3 adjustable rings so you can wear them normally or above knuckle! I already have these in rose gold and get so many complimets on them as they make a statement even though they are really plain!

I personally love this outfit and I really am in love with all of the pieces, and would really love to win!

Why not enter yourself for a chance to win £75 with Marc b and £175 on ASOS!
Competition is here!

See you soon lovelys!

Review: Mac satin lipstick in Rebel

So I missed a lot of posts lately but I'm trying to get back on track today and maybe do more than one post if I can! So this post will be yesterdays post which means its review time! Now this week is another item I love so next week I am going to try do a review on something I was disappointed with or not worth the "hype." But as for today the item is a Mac satin lipstick in the colour Rebel.

Mac satin lipstick-Rebel-£14

(Really bad lighting! Sorry!)

So this is literally one of my all time favorite lipsticks, the staying power with this and like many other Mac lipsticks is unreal, I wore this out on a night out, I wiped it off before I went to sleep and it was still faintly there about 5 o'clock the next day!  The colour genuinely is so beautiful and it is also quite build-able so you can apply it faintly or layer it up to get a deeper, more vibrant colour which is what I always seem to do when I wear it.  On the pictures I had really bad lighting and couldn't quite catch the colour right but it is more purple not the pink that it looks like. Below is the actual colour of the lipstick, but don't be put off by how it looks in the tube because it looks so dark, but it comes out so lovely!

The only bad thing I can think of about this is that it makes your lips quite dry so you feel like its all come off and we all know how bad dark lipstick looks when its starting to fade/ come off but it hasn't! Just feels it!

Sorry this wasn't long but I can't think of any other reason!

Have a lovely day

Wishlist!

Hello lovelies! Sorry about not having a post yesterday but I received some bad news and didn't feel like making a post, so i'll give you the update on that on Friday.  But onwards and upwards!

So I've got my first wish list today, I am going on my first girls holiday in July so a lot of the things I've been looking at are for that!

1. So first is this gorgeous panther face topshop dress which i am in love with!  I saw this in store but they only had it in petite and then i got home to buy it online and they only had a size 10 left! So I am waiting this to be restocked i absolute love it and i don't think its too bad for £28 either!

2. Number 2 is not exactly for my holiday but its the Mulberry Willow bag, its a large tote and the bit on the front unzips off for you to use as a clutch bag! Possibly my 21st birthday present? Well, i'm definitely going to ask for it anyway!

3. These sandals are one of the most gorgeous things ever! They are from topshop and are £48 which is a little pricey but lucky for me my mum has bought me these for my holidays because we have a little thing going on where when I lose 7lb in weight she will buy me something for my hols! So these were my first things!

4.  And finally this playsuit is a beach wear piece from the river island holiday shop and a bargain for £20! It makes me think it may be a little see through though! I really do love it and it's so my style, so hopefully when they get it in stores I will love it as much as I love it online!

So thats all for now!  I love all these things so I'm hoping i'll be able to get them soon!

Review: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

And so the first day of my new "routine" starts today! and Mondays are now for reviews! I want to review a range of different things from beauty, films and maybe even he food I'm eating on my diet at the moment! Also Tuesday and Thursdays posts may differ from time to time.

So, today i have chosen to review one of my favourite beauty items of all time, it is literally my holy grail product and its the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation which is £27.50 for 30ml and my colour is Dessert Beige which is a fair to medium yellow based foundation.

This is the description from the Estee Lauder website for the foundation.

"This worry-free, long-wearing foundation makeup stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity, nonstop activity.

Won't change colour, smudge or come off on clothes.

Feels lightweight and comfortable.

Now the flawless look you see in the morning is the look you keep all day."

It is so true what it says about long lasting, I feel so confident when I put this on in the morning and i know it will last all day! It never goes patchy, or moves and if you go to a Estee Lauder counter they make sure the foundation matches perfectly and if you ask for samples they give you a 10 day pot to try out and they last way more than 10 days because you hardly need any to cover the whole face!

A few bad points about this is that you really need to moisturise and prime before applying it because if you don't it really sticks to your dry skin and it also gets stuck in the pores if you don't prime so i also recommend using a good exfoliator to get rid of all the dry areas on your
face.

Wednesday, 6 February 2013

Hey guys! I just made this rough outline of what I want to post each day, I think the only way for me to get on this daily update thing is to have some kind of routine!

The weekend I have left free because I thought I'd just do what I feel!

This may change from time to time but I think this will be easier for me!

Love you guys!

Latest films

So, as an employee of Odeon cinemas i feel like making a post about the 5 films I've seen in the last 2 days (all for free i might add, I'm not loaded!) anyhoo, the first film i saw was Les Miserables` and my gosh, is it fantastic, the hype really doesn't let it down, i may add though if you are not in too "musicals" I wouldn't go see this film, apart from the odd few words all emotions are said through song and it literally blew me away, but if you are not in to that I'd stay away!

Next was The Last Stand, the new "Arny" film, I love action films, and i really enjoyed this one.  The characters in it made it more of an action comedy but not to the point where it was stupid, the way people died in this film made the cinema laugh because of how brutal they were, i would happily sit through this film again.

The last one i saw yesterday was Life of Pi 3D, uhh, what can i say, i feel let down is too harsh, the graphics in the film were beautiful but i can't say i enjoyed the story line, it was all very much of a muchness, i probably wouldn't pay to see it again but I'd watch it when it came on sky movies or lovefilm.

This morning i took my overly large ass to see Flight, the new Denzel Washington film, and again slightly disappointed, I love Denzel, I'm a massive fan of his but the film itself dragged on a lot, some parts of the film were good and funny but the whole thing was stretched out too much to the point it got slightly boring, it is worth the see and it may be more your taste than mine.

And the final one today was Django.... yes.  I can't give this film enough praise Quentin, you've made another masterpiece.  It was everything you want in a film, it was brutal, it was funny it had romance! This film is one of the best I've seen in a while, and don't think its a "boys" film, I can't think of anyone you wouldn't enjoy this film, and if you don't, you obviously don't know a fantastic film is when you see one.

That's all folks!

A very bad blogger.

I have not been around for a while and the length of my absence is very poor.  So firstly sorry for that, and I am hoping to get back to regular blogging again as there are a few things happening and coming up which i think would be great to blog about.  I'm also wanting to do a very late review of The Clothes Show Live 2012 which I will be putting up this week and I am also going on a girls holiday to Ayia Napa in July so i will blog about my weight loss as thats very important for me at the moment!

On a final note just want to wish Alex from Velvet-Tidesxo a very happy birthday for yesterday!

Absence

So I haven't updated in a while but oh my, this week has been so stressful! All my uni work had to be in this week but being me here I am at 00:05 still writing an essay that needs to be handed in tomorrow, it's going to be a long night for me and expect a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes in this as I cant concentrate at the moment.

On a brighter note I got a job this week! I am now an employee of Odeon cinemas, it's really cool so far, i haven't done a proper shift or anything yet but everyone seems really nice so i can't wait to start properly (free films woop)

Now back to work :(

Day to night

So I thought I'd try write a post today on everything that has happened today! As there is quite a lot!

So first, last night i actually went to bed pretty early for me so I woke refreshed and feeling good, so I got up, got ready and walked to uni, we had a guest speaker from the catering business and then i had an interview for a job at the university and I'm not sure how that went, i felt I just blabbed my way through it, I don't know where most of the bleeding answers came from! But I find out if I get that tomorrow but I've also had a text from a lloyds chemist asking if i'd be able to work a few nights in the week which would be great for me as it means i'd be able to go home at the weekend! So I'm going to see what happens tomorrow.

I also joined the gym today, would you believe its £45 for the year along with spa facilities! Crazy right, perks of being a student.

I also finished watching all the seasons of True Blood which I'm sad I have nothing to watch now but my god it's freaking brilliant! Eric <3

Another thing, got the Warm Bodies book today my Isaac Marion.  Heard some good reviews so got it and the film comes out early next year! AND Nicholas Hoult is playing the main character! Yum.

What else, what else?

So Halloween is tomorrow, so it's going to be a messy one.  What am I going to be for Halloween?  Drunk.

I'm going as a cat by the way, I'll upload some pictures on Thursday, don't know how I am going to get through that day!

Anyway, TTFN

Collar tips

Decided to wear these for the first time and I love them! They are just neon yellow skull heads with two dangly gold chains. Also I like this one because its not too heavy as sometimes they can make a shirt collar look strange, especially chiffon shirts as they can drag it down. But I love the pop of colour against the leopard and I really want to buy more as they had different colours as well. I got this one from the eBay on a shop and I don't pay more than about £3, it is from Hong Kong though so it does take a little longer to arrive. But so worth it! I'll link where I got it from below

End of another week.

So, finally Friday has made it round again so for 3 nights and 2 whole days I can spend some time with my family.  When i moved to uni i didn't think i'd miss them as much as i do.  It's crazy!

Also, I have a job interview Tuesday to work at the uni! How cool would it be because when I'm on breaks the uni will be closed most of the time anyway! SO yeah, hope i get that!

Miley Cyrus

Am I the only person that actually likes Miley Cyrus's new hair?
I mean I did love her hair before, it was genuinely gorgeous but i think she did it to maybe get away from all the "Disney" perfect girl look?
I think she still looks beautiful and edgy and its just something new because she has had similar hair styles for a long time now and on a plus side, I love the fact she cut her hair for charity, she should be an inspiration to a lot of people whether she did it for attention or not, she still helped someone.

HOT HOT HOT!

"Miley Cyrus donated her hair to a Cancer charity. And you're calling her "ugly". Trust me, she's more beautiful than you. "   @officialCANCER

Ariel...so true.

I just wanted to post this quote as it's something i agree with and something i think everyone should think like this, would be a lot less negativity...

Review: Champneys purify & cleanse SOS mud mask!

Decided to do a review on this product my mum bought me for Christmas last year and I can honestly say it's the best mask product I've ever used, normally I'd buy those ones in the sachets that come in various flavors and types, like the peel off ones and the others that make your face hot but this one is pretty much a thick green liquid then after you have applied it to your face it sets and gets really hard and i just wipe it off with warm water on a flannel.  The thing about this for me is that it is seriously SOS like it says, if I am going out I like to either put it on the night before or before I start getting ready and it reduces my spots so much literally for the 20 minutes I leave it on for and it also reduces my pores and makes my skin feel lovely!

I would recommend this to anyone in need of a good face mask instead of the cheaper ones.  For this one pictured its just over £5 but you don't need a to cover your whole face, just depends how thick you want it and it is a 50ml bottle and I don't use it all the time, I'd say I use it about once every 2 months and I've still got quite a bit left.  My sister also has this and she loves it as well!

Hope this helped someone!
