Review: Mac satin lipstick in Rebel

So I missed a lot of posts lately but I'm trying to get back on track today and maybe do more than one post if I can! So this post will be yesterdays post which means its review time! Now this week is another item I love so next week I am going to try do a review on something I was disappointed with or not worth the "hype." But as for today the item is a Mac satin lipstick in the colour Rebel.

Mac satin lipstick-Rebel-£14

(Really bad lighting! Sorry!)

So this is literally one of my all time favorite lipsticks, the staying power with this and like many other Mac lipsticks is unreal, I wore this out on a night out, I wiped it off before I went to sleep and it was still faintly there about 5 o'clock the next day!  The colour genuinely is so beautiful and it is also quite build-able so you can apply it faintly or layer it up to get a deeper, more vibrant colour which is what I always seem to do when I wear it.  On the pictures I had really bad lighting and couldn't quite catch the colour right but it is more purple not the pink that it looks like. Below is the actual colour of the lipstick, but don't be put off by how it looks in the tube because it looks so dark, but it comes out so lovely!

The only bad thing I can think of about this is that it makes your lips quite dry so you feel like its all come off and we all know how bad dark lipstick looks when its starting to fade/ come off but it hasn't! Just feels it!

Sorry this wasn't long but I can't think of any other reason!

Have a lovely day

Wishlist!

Hello lovelies! Sorry about not having a post yesterday but I received some bad news and didn't feel like making a post, so i'll give you the update on that on Friday.  But onwards and upwards!

So I've got my first wish list today, I am going on my first girls holiday in July so a lot of the things I've been looking at are for that!

1. So first is this gorgeous panther face topshop dress which i am in love with!  I saw this in store but they only had it in petite and then i got home to buy it online and they only had a size 10 left! So I am waiting this to be restocked i absolute love it and i don't think its too bad for £28 either!

2. Number 2 is not exactly for my holiday but its the Mulberry Willow bag, its a large tote and the bit on the front unzips off for you to use as a clutch bag! Possibly my 21st birthday present? Well, i'm definitely going to ask for it anyway!

3. These sandals are one of the most gorgeous things ever! They are from topshop and are £48 which is a little pricey but lucky for me my mum has bought me these for my holidays because we have a little thing going on where when I lose 7lb in weight she will buy me something for my hols! So these were my first things!

4.  And finally this playsuit is a beach wear piece from the river island holiday shop and a bargain for £20! It makes me think it may be a little see through though! I really do love it and it's so my style, so hopefully when they get it in stores I will love it as much as I love it online!

So thats all for now!  I love all these things so I'm hoping i'll be able to get them soon!

Review: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

And so the first day of my new "routine" starts today! and Mondays are now for reviews! I want to review a range of different things from beauty, films and maybe even he food I'm eating on my diet at the moment! Also Tuesday and Thursdays posts may differ from time to time.

So, today i have chosen to review one of my favourite beauty items of all time, it is literally my holy grail product and its the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation which is £27.50 for 30ml and my colour is Dessert Beige which is a fair to medium yellow based foundation.

This is the description from the Estee Lauder website for the foundation.

"This worry-free, long-wearing foundation makeup stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity, nonstop activity.

Won't change colour, smudge or come off on clothes.

Feels lightweight and comfortable.

Now the flawless look you see in the morning is the look you keep all day."

It is so true what it says about long lasting, I feel so confident when I put this on in the morning and i know it will last all day! It never goes patchy, or moves and if you go to a Estee Lauder counter they make sure the foundation matches perfectly and if you ask for samples they give you a 10 day pot to try out and they last way more than 10 days because you hardly need any to cover the whole face!

A few bad points about this is that you really need to moisturise and prime before applying it because if you don't it really sticks to your dry skin and it also gets stuck in the pores if you don't prime so i also recommend using a good exfoliator to get rid of all the dry areas on your
face.

Hey guys! I just made this rough outline of what I want to post each day, I think the only way for me to get on this daily update thing is to have some kind of routine!

The weekend I have left free because I thought I'd just do what I feel!

This may change from time to time but I think this will be easier for me!

Love you guys!

Latest films

So, as an employee of Odeon cinemas i feel like making a post about the 5 films I've seen in the last 2 days (all for free i might add, I'm not loaded!) anyhoo, the first film i saw was Les Miserables` and my gosh, is it fantastic, the hype really doesn't let it down, i may add though if you are not in too "musicals" I wouldn't go see this film, apart from the odd few words all emotions are said through song and it literally blew me away, but if you are not in to that I'd stay away!

Next was The Last Stand, the new "Arny" film, I love action films, and i really enjoyed this one.  The characters in it made it more of an action comedy but not to the point where it was stupid, the way people died in this film made the cinema laugh because of how brutal they were, i would happily sit through this film again.

The last one i saw yesterday was Life of Pi 3D, uhh, what can i say, i feel let down is too harsh, the graphics in the film were beautiful but i can't say i enjoyed the story line, it was all very much of a muchness, i probably wouldn't pay to see it again but I'd watch it when it came on sky movies or lovefilm.

This morning i took my overly large ass to see Flight, the new Denzel Washington film, and again slightly disappointed, I love Denzel, I'm a massive fan of his but the film itself dragged on a lot, some parts of the film were good and funny but the whole thing was stretched out too much to the point it got slightly boring, it is worth the see and it may be more your taste than mine.

And the final one today was Django.... yes.  I can't give this film enough praise Quentin, you've made another masterpiece.  It was everything you want in a film, it was brutal, it was funny it had romance! This film is one of the best I've seen in a while, and don't think its a "boys" film, I can't think of anyone you wouldn't enjoy this film, and if you don't, you obviously don't know a fantastic film is when you see one.

That's all folks!

A very bad blogger.

I have not been around for a while and the length of my absence is very poor.  So firstly sorry for that, and I am hoping to get back to regular blogging again as there are a few things happening and coming up which i think would be great to blog about.  I'm also wanting to do a very late review of The Clothes Show Live 2012 which I will be putting up this week and I am also going on a girls holiday to Ayia Napa in July so i will blog about my weight loss as thats very important for me at the moment!

On a final note just want to wish Alex from Velvet-Tidesxo a very happy birthday for yesterday!

Much Love

Absence

So I haven't updated in a while but oh my, this week has been so stressful! All my uni work had to be in this week but being me here I am at 00:05 still writing an essay that needs to be handed in tomorrow, it's going to be a long night for me and expect a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes in this as I cant concentrate at the moment.

On a brighter note I got a job this week! I am now an employee of Odeon cinemas, it's really cool so far, i haven't done a proper shift or anything yet but everyone seems really nice so i can't wait to start properly (free films woop)

Now back to work :(
